Prologue

from Infernum by Maestro Eternal

/

about

This track is my own darkwave twist on Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake Suite Op. 20. The main theme is integrated throughout the song and intertwined is my own original composition throughout.
I chose this particular classical song because it's one of the first I remembered from watching old horror movies, since I grew up with the 1930's Dracula movie and they even added it to the old Mummy movie as well back in the day. It was a theme for sombre, dark horror and it's always reminded me of the gothic era of horror which I've always loved and try to bring to my own darker compositions.
This song is called prologue because it's meant to symbolize a melancholic type innocence just the way it did in those old horror movies. Prologue in greek means "before" and that's what it stands for here. Before the darkness, before the fire, before the pain. Where it all began... before Infernum burned them all.
