In Perpetuum Et Unum Diem - Bonus Track

from Curio by Maestro Eternal

/

about

The name of this track means “Forever and a Day” in latin. This was the first full orchestration I composed after my parents passed away. This track is a bonus track because it’s purely orchestral and also I recorded it in 2017-ish so it sounds a little different than my other recordings. But it really fit the theme for Curio, so I wanted to include it. Before this piece, I hadn’t composed anything in a very long time, years actually. It was composed while thinking of different happy childhood moments I spent with my parents. Nothing really in particular. Just moments I missed and felt a deep sense of longing for. I named it forever and a day because I felt like it really encompassed what it feels like to have a yearn nostalgia. It can go on and on in a circle of dreams. I always asked myself if I could, would I even want to get out of that dream-state? Or would I continue to live in the memory with them forever if possible? To this day, I’ve never been able to answer that question.
