Here's a little story from my childhood of what inspired this song. I hope you enjoy!

Their ranch was absolutely endless! Or so she used to think when she was young. There were hundreds of horses, some of them champion horses from race horses or descendants of champions. All of them were magnificent. She only had one horse that was hers. He was a little horse and his name was Dandy. He had a brown body with a bright blonde mane that shone so brilliantly in the sun as he shook it back and forth in the wind. She was convinced that he knew he was beautiful. One of her favorite things to do was to feed the horses treats like carrots and apples, especially in the evenings when the sun was setting. These horses were like her friends. She would approach the red iron fence and climbed its tiers. The paint chipped off into her hands and she brushed it away on her pants. As soon as the horses would see her propping herself up on the fence, they would run across the golden fields. Their silky hair wisping in the wind. Their thundering hooves beating against the dry ground…
