For this track, I wrote out the childhood story that goes behind the memory/ music. One of the reasons I named the album and this track "Curio" is because I didn't have a typical childhood. It was a very curious, odd upbringing. One that was filled with atypical memories. Some I look back on and even wonder to myself, how curious that was. Here is the story that inspired the song Curio. I wrote it out in a short story type form for this one. I hope you enjoy this story and the track.

Soft sounds of light crackling rain hit the weeds near the path she was walking on. Though she was a small child, she was alone on a lonely dirt path on the side of a vast field. On the other side of her was the edge of an untamed forests that she had yet to venture into. She watched as the small droplets of rain made indentions in the dusty path. And was amused at the quivering of the weeds in the field getting hit sporadically by the falling drops. The patter of droplet slowly multiplied. Then a feathery mist of rain came sweeping down from the hills on the horizon into the valley where she was. The mist of rain was light at first, then it began to come down in a heavy rumble. Harder and larger than she had experienced before. Dark clouds rolled in overhead. She ran towards the edge of the forest. As she entered the forest, the branches were thick like a protective umbrella and the leaves gave her some shelter from the rain. The forest floor was thick with leaves and spongy moss. It was a completely different atmosphere inside the forest. It was cool and wet. Not dusty and humid like on the path. Vines hung down from the tallest branches as if reaching down to her. All of a sudden, a young boy she had never seen before came out of the woods. She wasn’t frightened at all. Only intrigued. Neither one of them said a word to each other. They just stared. He turned and began to walk away. She followed him as if there was an unsaid agreement between the two.
He lead her to an opening in what seemed like was the middle of the forests’ heart. There was a very large tree. The boy pointed towards the branches. She looked up at it. Many animals were in its branches, birds, squirrels, a ringtail lemur in the hollow of the tree. The tree was like a mother protecting her children. The branches stretched so far and twisted into all the other branches, the girl couldn’t see where they ended. That’s when she looked around and the boy had disappeared. The rain began to let up until she could only hear a soft pitter-patter on the tops of the forest leaves. And the sun began to shine through the cracks in the branches down onto the mother tree. She spent the whole rest of the day under the tree like all the other animals, waiting to see if maybe the boy would return but she never saw the strange boy again...
